Still the camera that you are using is limiting the sound as the sound is being recorded. Most modern cameras are NOT build to record loud sounds. They have build in software that will "limit" as we say in audio engineering - or in other words, heavily ... HEAVILY lower the sound of something if that something is above a certain loudness threshold... Unless you buy equipment that are tuned in for recording loud things, you will never get this right! But still, this video is maybe the best one on the internet right now. Edit: As I saw you also are adressing this issue in the video! A very cheep fix for recording a sound withought it being limited by the build in audio compressor (or limiter) of the modern day camera - is recording the sound with a DAW. A "DAW" is a "digital audio workstation", like Cubase, or Ableton or FL Studio and the rest... These systems will record RAW sound, and they will not limit them or compress them unless you want them to. So basically you can strap a mic on a laptop (make sure that the mic itself isn't limiting the sound... (a cheep mic won't...) and then record the sound with a DAW!

Oh , the turret plate comes in 7/8”-14 all 8 stations but you have to order if you desire 4 of each or a combo like you have !!

Mine being like yours is a fine piece of machine work and very precise!! I haven’t seen a reloading press yet that I would trade my Hollywood press for !

The model I have since 1962 and it’s the model like what you have on your bench ! Senior Turret ! Great reloading tool !

I know this video is older, but the end, when you were talking about the forces being applied, it reminded very much of my best friend and shooting buddy who is a retired engineer, he too speaks with the same passion when he hears... statements that are not well thought out.

Forster Coax is great. I use mine to de-prime and resize (that way, spent primers N-E-V-E-R fall on the floor). Then, I do the rest of the reloading operations on my Dillon 550!

Being a speed motor do you need to register it with your local driving authority and attach number plate when on the road?

My RCBS bullet puller arrived today. I have thirty 45- cal ACP rounds to pull. I didn't put enough Titegroup powder in them - they won't cycle my PPQ 45 pistol. 4.4 grains of Titegroup wasn't enough. 4.8 gr of Titegroup cycles the pistol. I have a Dillon 550C press and will be using one of my toolheads to mount the RCBS puller on. Oh, I knock out live primers sometimes and have never had one ignite. I ease it out.

Rex, I have been pulling my hair out trying to get Zmr Bullet Feeder to work with 55 grain 223 bullets. I have removed that microswitch a hundred times, bending the metal actuator every way imaginable and sometimes it works better, sometimes worse. I finally put a piers of painters tape on the actuator to hold it out of the bullet channel far enough that the momentum of the bullets will squeeze them past and when the tube is full the last bullet trips the microswitch. It seems to work but a piece of painters tape will only last short term. I am a design engineer, now retired, and recently called a buddy of mine that I used to work with. He is a EE! We started looking at optical sensors to solve the problem. We were just in the discussion phase when I searched for aftermarket designs to fix this problem. I came across your two videos related to proximity sensors. I was impressed at how far you took your idea all the way to 3D printing a couple prototypes. Today I stumble on this video of using an optical sensor, Bravo! This is exactly the solution I need. I reload currently on a pair of Dillon RL1100’s. One for small primed calibers and the other for large primed calibers. The only issues I have with Mr Bullet Feeder is the 223 bullets..I would love to purchase one of your optical sensor set ups to solve my issue. Please let me know if one is available and the cost and I’ll be happy to order one. Thank You Dan Henderson

I am the proud owner of the Super Turret. From my understanding when Hollywood was still in business there was only 100 of these made. I also have a few Corbin dies for swagging. This re loader is made with superior strength in mind. It is fast and it is slow. I use a different primer installer and powder trickle my loads. This helps in it being more speedy. You have covered a lot of great knowledge on this equipment. It is sad that they are no longer in business. These were all build for more then a lifetime.

I miss Kodachrome. Got to taste it's 64ASA goodness for just a couple years before they discontinued it. Ektachrome was great, as was Fuji Astia. Agfachrome died before I started with photography, but nowadays it's mostly color negative film when I choose to use the medium format or 8x10 camera.

Just added a 1050 to my collection. Same here it was a bucket list, right deal thing. Deal came along with 1050, extra cases, powder, bullets at half price, so I jumped in. Just setting up my new bullet feeder so found this video. Very well done, thanks.

I noticed you moved it back, I'm thinking if you would've mounted it permanently to begin with it probably would have never happened. It looks like the base is angled, and because of that yes it needed to move back, like a refrigerator, lol thanks for the video and review!!! Definitely going to get one! 👍

That train and park bring back such wonderful memories from my childhood in the 80s! Although I moved away in late 1988, that place has remained close to my heart. I had the great opportunity to bring my wife and daughter there in 2019 and we rode the rocket! Can’t wait for another trip there!

I have a Senior Press (Single Stage) which is in almost as good a condition as yours. I am not worried about priming/depriming on mine though I will try to find the priming tool to make it fully operational. As to your shotgun dies. I started shooting skeet competitively in the 70s as college student bc the college team picked up the tab for lots of shooting and tournaments but I started recreationally with my dad circa 1968 or so. One of the locals was a well known stockmaker and I remember him talking to me about Hollywood Presses and how beautifully they were made. "Brad, you don't want a Hollywood because they were made for paper shells and fiber wads). So, as to your shotgun dies, I guess you need to find a guy who wants to load old time hunting loads...and has access to paper hulls. I believe he told me Federal made the best paper shells back then. If I had the paper shells I would be looking hard for those dies bc I think they would work on my single stage. Great set of videos; just fabulous.

So, Please tell me why this is needed? Do the .22 projectiles not feed wellin the standard MBF mechanism?

error #1....The Co-Ax is over 300% more powerful than the RCBS error#2.....The original shell holders still work best with the priming device. I've used all three. Forster sells a bench mounted priming device. Uses the exact same parts. The press will actually work well with 3/4" plywood as a base, but is better with about 1" stuff or more. Have some body cut you two 3/16" thick steel plates about 6" x 8" and use one under the press and one under the bench in a sandwich fashion. Press also likes a riser. I've built 4", 6", and 8" risers, and think 6" is about right for most people. Keep the guide rods coated with a light coat of oil (I use left over engine oil). The shell holder is not a shell holder, but an extractor to pull the sized case out of the die. The bolster plate under it controls the absolute squareness to the die. Set your shell extractor kinda loose, and just enough to extract the case everytime. I've had mine since 1978. Was laughed at for spending $83 on a press. I got the last laugh! The only thing I've found more accurate is my K&M arbor press with Wilson inline dies, and even then it's only about .0004"/.0006" in run out

Rex, can you tell me what 2 presses you're using. I'm looking for a press that noting moves backward towards the bench when the handle is pulled. I have a Lee single stage now but the linkage moves to the back of the press when I pull the handle. Good video. Thank you.
